Michigan and Florida will each be half seated at the convention...

The Democratic Party's rules committee decided today that both Michigan and Florida would be seated at half strength at the convention in Denver this summer. Florida will be distributed on the basis of the voting that occurred there. Obama will get his delegates plus John Edwards who have moved to him through endorsement. In addition, the Rules committee accepted the Michigan Dem. Parties proposal to split the delegates 69-59, since Barack Obama did not appear on the Michigan ballot. Of course they'll only be half counted so the actual number will be 34.5 to 29.5. The bottom line...

The resolution increased the number of delegates needed to clinch the nomination to 2,118, leaving Obama 66 delegates short but still within striking distance after the three final primaries are held in the next three days.

Obama picked up a total of 32 delegates in Michigan, including superdelegates who have already committed, and 36 in Florida. Clinton picked up 38 in Michigan, including superdelegates, and 56.5 in Florida.

Obama's total increased to 2,052, and Clinton has 1,877.5.

Basically Obama is still in position to win this thing in the next 3 days and Clinton's only real excuse left for fighting has been officially removed from the table. Hillary now has a choice, bow out gracefully or take it to a floor fight in Denver. Let's hope she chooses the former.

And now for some fun I offer you humorous takes on the Clinton campaign in video form, enjoy!
