When I found out Ali G's(Sacha Baron Cohen) Borat character was going to be made into a feature film, I assumed it would turn out like the many other(mostly unsuccessful) sketches-turned-movies(Superstar, Ladies Man, A Night at the Roxbury, etc.); desperately trying to stretch a idea that works best in 4 minute increments across two hours. Fortunately, the Borat movie doesn't appear to do that. It merely supersizes the concept of the hilarious in character interviews with average people, and turns it into a tour of America, where he gleefully smashes moral taboos along the way and generally horrifies his unsuspecting subjects.

About the only other person who could look this natural yelling misogynistic and rascist remarks while behaving this strangely is Mel Gibson. Maybe Cohen will win an Oscar.
